It’s time to strip.
Remove the frills, the fillers, the packaged goodness and go bare again.
I was sick. First I couldn’t eat (but was famished) and then didn’t want to eat (but needed to). So I made the compromise of finally eating whatever looked good just to keep something in my stomach and to keep me conscious.
I ate ice cream, chips, soda, pizza (my sick food craving), a whole lot of mozzarella cheese, smoothies, and some other stuff I don’t usually put in my mouth. As a result, I didn’t faint. Also as a result, I feel a little more lethargic, bloated, and foggy than usual.
Where the fuck are my vegetables?!?!?!?
So, on Monday I’m going back to the basics. I’m going to cook again. I want some real food, I need some real food. My stomach has been trying to let me know this all week.
It’s high time I became mistress of my kitchen again and created some domestic gold. Chicken Parmesan? Yes Please. Stuffed cabbage? I think so. Lots and lots of Brussels Sprouts? Don’t mind if I do.
I’m salivating just thinking about it.
So, as I said, I’m stripping down back to the basics.
And maybe I’ll be spending some time naked as well, but that’s another story meant for a Tuesday.
