I’m once again breaking my policy of not weighing myself on the weekends as well as my policy to not report mid-week weigh-ins. I have a thing for arbitrary rules and a thing for breaking rules in general, perhaps a bad mixture.
My point of the preceding paragraph is that I was glad to see this morning that I tipped the scale at 274 lbs. If I can get off 0.2 lbs today (a deficit of 700 calories, I will have lost a pound this week despite shady circumstances. I am worried that doing my weigh in at 6:00am will make me a little heavier than normal in the mornings so I don’t think that it will happen, but it is a very nice thought. We’ll see.
Today I cooked for the week and have some very exciting items. Despite having recipes for most of them, I can’t seem to resist changing and improvising each one to suit my mood for the particular moment. I do like the results, though, so I guess it’s a good thing.
