Remember how I used to HATE cottage cheese and then I tried it? Remember how angry I was about liking it so much? Oh, and remember how I eventually got over it and started eating it without being angry that it won in our life long standoff and then started to thoroughly enjoy it?

Good because today I’m going to be singing its praises.

Or, typing its praises, I suppose.

I love it.

I’m not ashamed to admit it anymore now that the sting of defeat has worn off.

This morning I love it a little more than usual because I did something genius. I added cinnamon.

Let’s face it, you do NOT want to see a picture of what that looks like but I assure you, it’s scrumptious.

You know what makes this breakfast even more awesome? It’s super good for you. Combined with almonds, this is a pretty low calorie meal that is high in protein, low in sugar, and quite nutritious. It also won’t leave my hungry in an hour.

In completely unrelated news, I leave all you single ladies with this invitation:

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

So with the cinnamon, it's just plain cinnamon or is it cinnamon sugar?

I too had the same disgust regarding cottage cheese I used to debate with my dad at the dinner table about why it was so disgusting (and I never even tasted it!) – but in college my boss took me out to lunch and made me taste his – i made fun of him for ordering it – I was TOTALLY hooked – I like mine with salt and pepper, or on top of hashbrowns and also like it with peaches in it – yum!

Just cinnamon, no sugar. I do as little sugar in my diet as possible.

Even before I went vegan, I was freakishly terrified of cottage cheese… I still have nightmares about it on occasion. that consistency and I do NOT mix.

The idea of cottage cheese is awesome to me, but when I try to bring that big scoop of lumping white stuff towards my lips, my brain rebels.

The reason? My parents put nasty medicine in my cottage cheese when I was four years old and I threw it up. I still (24 years later) cannot stomach the idea of it.

Proof positive that parents will totally ruin your life. :p
